What we do like
Efficient LED Light Source
The majority of projectors made today still use a traditional bulb/lamp as a light source. The Crenova XPE460 projector runs on a LED (1200 lumen) light source. There are advantages and disadvantages to both of these sources, however, it is our opinion the advantages of having an LED are greater.
From our experience when comparing LED to traditional lamps, we find the LED usually has better color quality and is able to produce a larger image from the same distance away from the screen. Another very convenient the provides is a longer life. Traditional bulbs usually provide between 4,000 – 5,000 hours of life. After dying out a replacement bulb will typical cost (depending on the bulb needed) somewhere between $15 and 100+ dollars
LED light source of the Crenova XPE460 has a lifetime of 20,000 hours, which is 4-5 times greater compared to what the majority of traditional lamps offer.
Dwarfs screen size capabilities of HDTV
If you want a big 100+ inch screen for movies or gaming you would be paying out the butt for a HDTV this size. Projectors are definitely the better economical choice for a person who wants to go large.
This Crenova Movie/Gaming Projector model can produce up to a 130-inch image. Considering the low price this is a very impressive capability.
The specifications on the throw distance. At 1.2 meters away from the screen (or 4 feet) the image size produced will be about a 37-inch diagonal. At 3.8 meters away (or about 12.5 feet) this model will produce a 130-inch screen image.
Now we will say this, if you decide you want to use the maximum 130-inch screen, the larger you go, the darker room environment you will want. This will help with the image quality.
Connectivity ports in the rear
Besides qualities related to picture quality, “connectivity” is another important consideration to take into account when deciding whether or not a projector will satisfy your needs.
Whether it be a HDTV, laptop, game console or a smartphone. We would venture to guess most people already know which external devices they want to be able to connect with.
The **good news** the Crenova XPE460 Projector provides very strong connectivity. Not only does it include HDMI ports but also it also allows a wireless connection to mobile devices such as an iPad or a smartphone.
There are a few devices, such as HDTV, Blu-ray, DVD that you will be able to connect, so the image below is not 100 percent complete but provides a good overview of the connectivity of this model.
Basically, if the external device you want to connect has an HDMI port then connecting it to this projector will be possible. Note about the wireless connection for smartphones and other mobile devices this will require a HDMI adapter which is not include with the purchase of this model.
